The Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik has been publishing the double-blind peer-reviewed journal Science & Military since 2006. The journal is registered by the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic under No. EV 2061/08 and a Slovak ISSN National Centre under ISSN 1336-8885 (print) and ISSN 2453-7632 (on-line).
The journal Science & Military is unique in the Slovak Republic because it is the only scientific journal that publishes scientific articles related to military science. The main aim of Science & Military journal is to publish the scientific and research articles by Slovak and foreign authors particularly in the following areas:
The articles comply with the highest demands for quality and expertise of the author, they must meet the required quality and formal criteria and are subject to obligatory peer-review proces (double-blind peer reviewed). Articles are to be written in English language only.
The Science & Military Journal is published regularly twice a year, in June and December and an online form available at: link. The paper copies are distributed specifically to the Slovak Ministry of Defence, to selected institutions of state administration in the Slovak Republic, domestic and foreign universities and colleges.

Each articles published in the Science & Military is assigned a DOI number.
Science & Military journal is an Open Access (OA) journal in accordance with the initiative BOAI, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author, when citing the source.
The Science & Military Journal is published in accordance with an Open Access (OA) under the Creative Commons Attribution – NoDerivatives International License (CC BY-ND 4.0).
